Okay, so if you don't know what vlogging is, it's basically blogging by video. For those poor saps who either can't write well or are too lazy, vlogging allows you to post thoughts and commentaries about things by just talking about it.
I have no intention of becoming a vlogger. But I've recently purchased a webcam, so I thought I'd make a video. This is really, really embarrassing. Do I really look and act like this when I'm talking about something? I'd make a terrible TV personality. This is why I write. This is also why women think I'm a creeper.
All good Scott, don't hang it up too soon. Consider it just another communication tool in your 'pop culture toolbox'. (Notice I am NOT calling you a 'tool'!) Now you know how us Radio guys feel about being thrust into doing more on our websites. Be well and Keep Rockin'! Dennis- WKQQ.com
ReplyDeleteI thought this was really very cool, and I didn't think you were weird at all. I remember that phone conversation I think though I hadn't ever thought about it until you recounted it here. The Jetsons always had video phones, and I'm pretty sure that when we went to the World's Fair in Knoxville that was probably part of the communications exhibits. Too bad that wasn't on the Carousel of Progress.
ReplyDeleteWell thanks for the encouragement. Maybe I'll get squirrely one of these days and do another one. I have to admit, it is a heck of a lot easier than spending 2 hours writing a post!
ReplyDeleteFor what it's worth, I did a little research after posting this and discovered that video phones were first patented as far back as the 60's, although they obviously never really got into wide usage.
